The PowerSharp system consists of a chain, a bar and a bar-mount sharpener. When the chain gets dulled, sharpening is as easy as putting the sharpener on the blade and pressing the tip of the sharpener into a solid surface for a few seconds, bringing the unique top-cutting cutters into contact with the sharpening stone. This sharpens the chain and resurfaces the stone, thanks to a diamond-coated dresser link. How PowerSharp Works
- Steel pins in the bar-mount sharpener slide through the twin guide holes in the PowerSharp bar, ensuring perfect alignment between cutter and the crescent-shaped sharpening stone.
- As the chain moves through the bar-mount sharpener, the unique top-sharpening cutters contact the stone, which hones them to knife-edge sharpness.
- The guidance drive link works together with the cutter and depth gauge to provide the stability required to create a precision cutting edge.
- The diamond-coated dresser link resurfaces the stone, ensuring flat cutter to stone contact.
